Boeffla Pocketmode (root)

Functionality:

This companion app helps to save battery in some cases by disabling the fingerprint sensor when device is in a pocket.

Proximity sensor is used to determine if the fingerprint sensor should be active or not.

Note:

This app only works on OnePlus 2 or OnePlus 3 devices with kernel having pocketmode support installed.

No other phones are currently supported. Boeffla-Kernel is strongly recommended to be used.

Important:

In order to keep the app working when the device is sleeping for longer, the app has to be taken out of Android battery optimization. Do the following: Open roms settings screen, go on Battery, press the three dots and select "Battery optimization". Then click on all apps, search for Boeffla Pocketmode, select it and click on "Don't optimize".

Permissions:

ACCESS_SUPERUSER: This app requires root!!! If you do not have a rooted phone, it will not work.

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Required to allow the app to start during boot in order to control pocketmode.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Internal storage permission is required to write log files, if this is switched on.
