Powerful Prayer of Thanks

“Lord, thank you so much, for what you have given me, for what you give me, for air, for bread, for peace! For my faculty of seeing, for the blind I want to intercede, for those who live in darkness and stumble in the crowd, for them I pray and I implore You with misfortune, because I know that after this struggle, in another life, they will see! Lord, thank you so much for my ears, given to me by God. Ears that hear the drumming of the rain on the shed, the melody of the wind in the willow branches, the pain and tears that flow down the faces of the whole world. Ears that hear the music of the people, who come down from the hill to the square singing. The melody of the immortals that we hear once and never forget. In the face of my ability to hear, for the deaf I want to ask you, because I know that after this pain, in your kingdom of love, they will hear again! Thank you so much Lord for my voice! But also for her voice, which sings, which teaches and consoles. For the voice that with emotion utters a heartfelt prayer! For my ability to speak, for the mute I want to beg you, for those who suffer from aphasia, do not speak at night, do not sing during the day. For my ease of speaking, for the mute I want to pray to you, because I know that after this pain, in your kingdom of love, they will also sing! Thank you so much Lord, for my hands, but also for your hands. Hands that plow, that sow, that wrap. Hands of charity, of solidarity. Hands that shake hands. Hands of poetry, surgery, symphonies, psychographies, hands that on a cold night, wash dishes in a sink. Hands that on the edge of a grave, embrace someone tenderly, in a moment of bitterness. Hands that in the breast, embrace the child of an alien body, without fear, and the feet that lead me to walk, without complaining, I want to praise you. Because I see amputees, deformed, crippled, wretched people on Earth … and I can dance!! I pray for them, and I implore you, because I know that after this atonement, in another situation, they too will dance. Finally Lord, thank you so much for my home! But also for your home, because it's so wonderful to have a home... It doesn't matter if this home is a mansion, a nest, a house on the way, a bungalow, whatever it is! The important thing is that within it there is the presence of love! The love of a mother, a father, a brother... Someone to hold your hand, even if it's the presence of a dog, because it's so painful to live in solitude! But if I don't have anyone, not even a roof to wrap me up, a bed to lay down, a shoulder to cry on, or someone to vent to..., I won't complain, I won't regret, nor will I blaspheme. Because I have you, thank you so much because I was born, for your love, thank you so much Lord!
