Meteora is a complex of monasteries, the second largest center of Orthodox monasticism in Greece after Athos. Impenetrable, cut off from the world, mountain caves and rock crevices became a haven for hermits in the 10th century. By the end of the 16th century, 24 monasteries arose here, today only six of them are active. In 1988, the monasteries were included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Together with VR Meteora you will take a virtual trip to Meteora, see the monasteries from a bird's eye view and find yourself inside the monasteries. Breathtaking views of the Thessalian valley, immersion in the history and monastic life of three monasteries - Varlaam, Rusana and St. Nicholas Anapavsas await you.

Shooting in 360° format will help you feel the atmosphere of the rock monasteries and experience not only spiritual uplift, but also climb the peaks. You will learn how the monks climbed rocks in nets, how they managed to build temples at a height of 400 meters and get drinking water.
