Bioplane is a game where you assume the role of a god-like designer that must contain with the forces of nature and fortune to build a stable ecosystem. Grow vast fields and wild forests from arid deserts and lead human civilization from primitive settlements to the first palaces.

The map starts as an empty desert without any signs of life. You draw a hand of random cards that represent different natural phenomena and improve the land by employing these cards. Among the cards are water sources, soil and plants, which must be played in correct order and place to provide sustenance for animals and people.

You have no opponent in this endeavor aside from the contending forces of nature. Different aspects of nature gain strength as the map is filled with their features and with them they bring calamities. For example, the more water you have, the more life it can sustain, but with it grows the probability of swamps forming.

As the wasteland is populated by water, nature and people, the map grows providing more space for further development. You must be careful though because the map shrinks if the deserts start to prevail again and you will lose the game.

Victory is achieved if you can balance the contending forces of nature and build the number of human palaces equal to the original map size.
