Annapurna Stotram is in Sanskrit and it is a pious and a wonderful creation of Shri Mat Adi Shankaracharya. Shri Mat Shankaracharya is asking Annarpuna Mata to provide food to all of us without making any discrimination.

Initially he has started with praising mata. He is telling her that you are the source of happiness, prosperity, blessings, security, wisdom, knowledge and yet you are the destroyer of our sins

Annapura Ashtakam , Sanskrit अन्नपूर्णाष्टकम् annapūrṇāṣṭakam, are the eight stanzas ( Ashtakam ) for the worship of Annapurna , the goddess who gives food ( Anna ) in abundance ( Purna ). Annapurna Ashtakam, also written Annapurnashtakam, is also referred to as Annapurna Stotram .

The last two stanzas of Annapurna Ashtakam are often recited in the Sivananda tradition and therefore also in Yoga Vidya as a prayer. The Annapurna Stotra or Annapurna Ashtakam is attributed to the great Vedanta master Shankaracharya . Shankara is said to have composed Annapurna Stotram
