Its usually how it goes 1 genre catches on and does really good, so other devs try and capitalize on it. Often they add there own flare to them ie Ride Out Heroes and its  Fantasy RPG style art and Super Mech Champions with its Mechs...
It gets to the point where you can pick the one that best suits your style of play... personally the 2 i mentioned are my 2 favourite BRs
