LAPS is a free tool from Microsoft that randomises the local password on each managed windows endpoint. This unique password and its expiry date is securely stored in Active Directory attributes and viewable only to authorized accounts. LAPS is a great tool to prevent lateral movement and privilege escalation pass the hash attacks.
