Kāma or Manmatha is the Hindu god of human love or desire, often portrayed along with his female counterpart Rati. Kamadeva was son of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Some narratives also reference Pradyumna, Krishna's son, as a reincarnation of Kamadeva
