Hassan district in the Indian state of Karnataka

Hassan is a city and the district headquarters of Hassan district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The town is situated 935 m above sea level with weather similar to Bangalore. It is named after the Hasanamba temple.[1] Hassan is 183 kilometres (114 mi) west of Bangalore, 119 kilometres (74 mi) north of Mysore, and 171 kilometres (106 mi) east of Mangalore by road.And it is one of the Top 10 cleanest city in India in 2016. Hassan is one of the most sought places for tourism in Karnataka as it has a rich cultural history.
