An electronic Pre-and Post-Inspection Form must be completed for every vehicle undergoing a fitment or replacement at a BSAA or SecureFit fitment centre. It applies to both mobile and in-house fitments; and includes work undertaken for bordereaux, non-bordereaux, as well as cash customers.

The purpose of this is to assist the fitment centre against possible claims relating to vehicle damages.

Pre-Inspection Form

The technician completes this form while conducting a physical inspection of the vehicle in the presence of the customer (or person nominated by the customer).

During the inspection, the technician should note any existing vehicle damage and take photographs where relevant.

Prior to commencing work on the vehicle, both the technician and the customer (or person nominated by the customer) must sign the form to acknowledge that the information noted is correct.

Post-Inspection Form

After completion of the work and on collection of the vehicle, the technician will carry out a second physical inspection of the vehicle with the customer (or person nominated by the customer). The purpose of this is to confirm that the work has been carried out and that the vehicle has not been damaged as a result of the replacement or fitment.

If new damage is noted, the manager must be notified immediately.

The customer (or person nominated by the customer) must sign to acknowledge the detail noted on the form.
