The EyeSim Augmented Reality Application is a high fidelity anatomically correct eye model produced for use by Ophthalmologists and by medical students. Designed in part by Dr. Anuradha Khanna, this application was created to help educate medical students on the hard to see aspects of the human eye, and as a way to correctly explain eye procedures to patients in a visual way.

We’ve recreated the complicated nerve, blood vessel, and muscular systems that are integral to the function of the human eye, and are extremely difficult to visualize in both dissection or traditional media.

This application is a free sample of the final product with limited functionality. In this app, you are limited to viewing the eye model.

Instructions for use:

* Find the marker included with the Annual Report for VA Hospital Loyola (Dr. Anuradha Khanna's Educational Simulation) or please print one off ( http://goo.gl/ci3Pc4 ).

* Download the app and open it.

* Hold your device 12-14 inches above the eye image (marker).

* The app will then recognize the marker and render the 3D eye model.

* To explore the 3D model please rotate the AR marker.

When the app opens, it will turn on the camera in your phone or tablet. This is to recognize the eye marker and render the eye model. The app will not display the eye model unless you have the correct AR marker.
