Context

Internet has comprehensively upended the strategic value of knowledge; public (domain) knowledge may already be 95+% of what we know as humanity!

Expectedly, creating private (unique) knowledge, i.e., valuable personal and professional knowledge, is a continuous, conscious, complex, and competitive activity.

The generic imperative

The narrowing space for creating private knowledge - the increasing commoditisation of knowledge and skills - is at the heart of the most serious philosophical, social, economic, cultural and personal challenge before us -

1. a jobless and high-leisure living

2. need for income support to increasing mass of people

3. most job creations at the low end - following AI-led commands

4. vanishing middle layer in all forms of organisations

5. Richer getting richer, and fewer; private knowledge among fewer

The actionable imperative

This has implications and imperatives for education of children during their school years. And it essentially dictates transformative changes in the role of parents in education, the role of school education in (overall) education, curricula/syllabi design, nature of textbooks, teachers and teaching, assessment, evaluation, and such others.

Critically, these dimensions of change are as global as the reach of the Internet!
