SIDDUR - THE STANDARD JEWISH PRAYER BOOK

This is a Jewish prayer book, or Siddur, containing prayers, meditations, and texts used during life passage ceremonies including circumcision, marriage and funerals, with variants for Jewish holy days. It includes texts such as the Ten Commandments, the Maimonidean 13 Principles of Faith, and the Pirqe Aboth (Ethics of the Fathers).

Readings from the Torah (five books of Moses) and the Nevi'im ("Prophets") form part of the prayer services. To this framework various Jewish sages added, from time to time, various prayers, and, for festivals especially, numerous hymns.

This Siddur, The Standard Prayer Book, appears to have been widely used in the early 20th century.
