Shawn Corey Carter, also known as Jay-Z, was born in Brooklyn, New York, USA, December 4, 1969. In addition to being a rap singer, Jay-Z is also known as a movie star and record entrepreneur with the label Def Jam and Roc-A -Fella Records, where he plays as president and CEO of the company.

Girlfriend Beyonce Knowles singer is also listed as one of the owners of The 40/40 Club, which is one of the owners of the NBA New Jersey Nets basketball club.

CAREER

His debut album begins with Reasonable Doubt (1996), In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 (1997), Streets Is Watching (1998) and his latest album Kingdom Come (2006).

While the film starring among them STREETS IS WATCHING (1998), HARD KNOCK LIFE (2000), STATE PROPERTY (2002), PAPER SOLDIERS (2002), FADE TO BLACK (2004), and film about himself DIARY OF JAY-Z: WATER FOR LIFE (2006).

In August 2010, Jay Z and Kanye West were declared to be duet. This is supported by West stating that there will be five other tracks that follow the single entitled Monster from the album Watch The Throne, which became his duo album with rapper Jay Z. One of the singles that have been released following the Monster is a song called Power.

With this duo album, as if Jay Z and West wanted to imply that they both still do not want to step down from the throne of the rapper they hold.
