Step 1: RECRUITING LANGUAGE TECHNICIANS
Language technicians (LTs) are recruited through advertisements, head-hunting, referrals, and organized translating competitions. This is an ongoing process.
Step 2: SCREENING AND CATEGORIZING OF LANGUAGE TECHNICIANS
Potential LTs are tested and evaluated to determine linguistic ability. Previous work experience is analyzed to determine competence. LTs are interviewed to determine areas of skill and specialized fields. They are then classified in appropriate groupings based on the specialized needs of the documents. The data is managed with our “Technician Service Company” system.
Step 3: TRAINING OF LANGUAGE TECHNICIANS
LTs are then trained to CHRIS TRANSLATION SERVICE COMPANY standard of quality, including the concepts of confidentiality and confidentiality management, professional ethic and customer service orientation.
Step 4: CLIENT CONSULTING
Client Services Representatives (CSRs) receive extensive in-house training on professional skills of client service, client needs analysis, and client consultation. Step 5: TRANSLATION
After receiving the project and client specifications from the QAS, the primary translators proceed with translating the material into the target language(s) maintaining the utmost terminology accuracy corresponding to the source documents. Translators have at their disposal an extensive library of resource material and other expert sources concerning relevant use of the specialized and technical language/terminology. Translators also edit and proofread their work prior to forwarding to the next stage.
Step 6: PROOFREADING
We work primarily with the target language evaluate the edited translation of the material to ensure that concepts are clearly communicated in a smooth and natural manner. Our colleague proofreaders polish the finished product and review of clarity, stylistic appropriateness for the type of material, consistency and cultural authenticity.
Step 7: REVIEW
The material will then be either sent to the client for final review or CHRIS TRANSLATION SERVICE COMPANY will conduct a community review. Our translators will solicit suggestions from the client regarding choice of terminology, corporate style, and strategy objectives. Our goal is to ensure appropriateness for the intended audience.
