Chelakkara Central School, Thonoorkkara founded in 1995-1996 (Academic Year) is an English Medium Co-educational School, Sponsored by Sidha Vidhya Kendram Trust, Thrissur, Reg, No.255/4/1966 date 19 Sept.1996

A Board of Directors and an executive committee consisting of the Board of Directors, Selected members of the Trust, Teachers and Parents, manage the school.

Chelakkara Central School is following C.B.S.E Syllabus. The medium of instruction is English and the second language is Malayalam, Hindi is taught as third language.

The school aims at the development of the integrated personality of individual pupil. To this end the school provides an all round education academic, moral and physical. We expect students to be matured, spiritually aware, active and useful to society and loyal to their country. The school strives not only the mere growth of the academic facilities but also provides opportunities for the development of good moral and social habits, which are the bases of upright citizen and gentlemen

Besides the language the following subjects are taught: Mathematics , Science, Social studies, Physical Education, Art and Craft Co-Curricular activities like games, sports music, dramatics, debates, education and quiz are given due importance. Art festival, inter – house competitions, celebration and festivals, sports day and annual day give maximum opportunities for children to develop talents
