About Tick

I have been bitten, what should I do? tick risk map, diary – observe the bite

Bitten by a tick? What to do. Follow these tips for removing ticks. The risk hazard map shows the current tick bite risk in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Log tick bites and sightings in the tick diary. The reminder feature lets you compare pictures of symptoms with the bite on your body. If you see signs of infection when examining the bite, consult a doctor to determine whether you may have contracted Lyme disease.

Bites and sightings reported anonymously are shown as pink or turquoise dots on the potential risk map. Thank you for your Citizen Science contribution to the applied research efforts conducted by ZHAW.

In the information section, you will find more about: tick-borne diseases, TBE vaccination recommendation, lifecycle of Ixodes ricinus tick.

App development: Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW, ZHAW Spin-off A&K Strategy GmbH and Andreas Garzotto GmbH. With support from the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), National Reference Centre for tick-transmitted diseases (NRZK) and Liga für Zeckenkranke Schweiz (LIZ).
