Kalaimamani Dr.Vinayagam is an classical musician, considered by many as one of prominent exponents of Thavil, a traditional Thavil instrument from the Indian state of Pudcuherry. He was awarded the Government Of Puducherry Department Of Art & Culture Kalaimamani Award in 2003.

He is a recipient of the Sangeetha Kala Booshan . The Government of India awarded him New Delhi Prasar Bharathi, for his contributions to Music.
