With 16 years of experience, at Colegio Summerhill we work every day to improve the teaching-learning process of students.

Convinced of the importance of developing in each student their capacity for self-regulation, autonomy, reflection and security, each member of the staff contributes their skills and knowledge with a single purpose: the integral growth of the students.

Colegio Summerhill is a Mexican family business, formed by people who seek to provide a new form of education for their community, committed to its future and to the comprehensive development of children.

The school was born in 2003, as an alternative for friends close to the family to care for their children while they carried out their daily activities. The beginnings of Summerhill were in a house adapted as a children's stay with address at Prolongación Juan de la Barrera nº 6, La Conchita neighborhood, in San Juan Ixtayopan.

It started with 9 children, children mainly of relatives and friends. Little by little, mothers were recommending the nursery to others and the population of Summerhill, in its first two years as a nursery, went from 9 to 37 children.

Due to its success and the demand of the parents, for the third year Summerhill went from being a nursery school to an official kindergarten, incorporated into the SEP. The population has always been increasing, as well as the facilities, the staff and, most importantly, the quality of the services.

The first class to graduate from Summerhill Kindergarten was the class of 2003–2006, with a group of 9 children. And in primary school, the first graduating class was 2006-2012.
