MANGA.SOUND.FX.DICTIONARY is the first ever groundbreaking Japanese-English dictionary of Japanese SFX / onomatopoeia. You can look up characters with handwriting input.

Basically, this dictionary was created using the experience and knowledge of professional translators who worked with SFX / onomatopoeia used in manga.

Once you learn the meaning of a SFX / onomanopoeia, if you look again at a certain scene in a manga you'll be surprised to be thinking ‘Oh, I’ve got it!’

Feel free to use this app to try and write with your finger the SFX or onomatopoeia found in manga, one character at a time.
