The game gets boring after sometime
Actually this game wants to be like chrono trigger but can't. Chrono trigger characters are balanced for difficulty and each one has a complete lore and backstory. You feel characters and make a bond with them.
You cant use gotcha characters and expect the same quality in story and difficulty ballance.
Instead of wasting your time for creating too many gotcha characters use a few predefined and well balanced characters with customizable options and well written story.

Each character on this game has a pretty extensive backstory too... Each character has multiple side quests that are specific to them. Some characters even have full-blown events that are specific to them. I'm guessing that you just never bothered to go do any of the side content.

What you're saying about balance also makes no sense, as the game is definitely balanced around the necessity to build multiple teams based on elements, attack type, weapon type, dungeon type, etc.

I'm guessing that you never actually played any of the character quests or the end-game dungeons. If you actually did, then I apologize for jumping to conclusions, but your comments make it seem to me like you didn't actually play very much of the game.

  You just compare this game with just a bunch of ****** mobile games with minimum story. Random and gocha characters even don't comment on game events. They speak just a few dialogues on their sidequests. And you call this background story?
