“Every child is a different kind of flower and all together make this world a beautiful garden”. Each child is unique and no two children are alike. A child thrives in an environment which offers him/her the scope for exploring his/her innate potential rather than impose the societal strictures on him/her. Our society has been unjust to children who might not shine academically but might be immensely talented in some other respect. According to the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, there are at least EIGHT kinds of intelligences like linguistic skills, logical/mathematical abilities, musical skills, spatial intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic skills, intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. Different children possess different forms and most have more than one form. But sadly, IQ tests are designed to gauge only three forms of intelligence – logical, musical and spatial. Thus, children with other kinds of intelligence do not get the recognition due and are unjustifiably branded as ‘Slow Learners’. This pressure on the children to conform to our fixed standards of evaluation, thereby measuring all the children by the same yardstick with limited parameters, has made many children under-achievers. These children need special support and guidance to help identify and build up on their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. This is where Wisdom Academe steps in. We bridge the gap between the conventional teaching methods and their special requirements through specially designed remedial study programmes, vocational training and therapeutic sessions. We help parents identify and focus on their children’s areas of aptitude and nurture them and enable them to become socially adept and economically independent individuals.
