In a nutshell, Homegrown Market can be thought of as a virtual farmer's market. The application provides a platform for users to buy, sell or exchange goods -- such as eggs, honey, potatoes, tomatoes, pickled products, baked goods or any other kind of produce that an individual has readily available! You can also find farm animals and livestock through the app, like pigs, chickens, ducks, goats and more! Feel free to see both goods & produce, as well as livestock & animals, or choose to see one or the other!

Are you a farmer, looking to sell direct to the consumer and tired of paying a distributor's fees? Homegrown Market will allow farmers to sell their products direct to the consumer year-round, updating their available products within the application to show their current prices and available goods. You can sell one item at a time, or in large bulk -- depending on the needs of the individual.

It's important to note that you don't need to be a farmer to sell item's on Homegrown Market! Do you have chickens or ducks in your backyard? How about a garden full of fruits and vegetables? A few fruit trees? All of these items can be sold within the application, at no cost of use for the user!

Don't have anything to sell? That's okay too! Remember, Homegrown Market is essentially a virtual farmer's market. Some people have goods to sell, others are looking for fresh, local produce to purchase at good prices!

The application has a built in messaging system, which allows the buyer and seller to communicate and barter on an acceptable price for the goods being exchanged. If you receive an offer or message from another user, you will receive a notification on your phone and also have a message sent to the email that you provide when registering.
