-Signs by categories: Watch a video of each sign including little tips to memorize them. More than 150 signs grouped into 14 categories integrating frequent vocabulary for apprentice communicators, taking into account requests and comments related to their daily activities and routines: animals, toys, transport, food, clothing, body parts, hygiene, household objects, actions, descriptive words, quantifiers, social commentary, prepositions and adverbs, places and people.

What is it / Why / For whom

This is an application that facilitates the learning of a repertoire of basic signs to support the development of communication while waiting for speech to develop and be functional... which reduces several frustrations. In recent years, several studies have demonstrated the benefits of using signs, having 'debunked' several myths and fears about their use on language development. Indeed, the child, before developing speech, must develop the foundations of successful two-way communication.

The signs come from the main directories used in Quebec: LSQ, French Signed, Mains Animés. While the majority of words have an identical or very similar sign from one directory to another, others have a few variations which are presented to you.
