Simple interactive tool to explain cancer and the hospital to young children

The application "Talking about cancer with Theo" is a simple and interactive support for patients with young children (3-12 years old) to accompany the opening of the dialogue on their illness and their care path, with their children. The objective of this application is to bring the child and the parent together, to encourage discussion.

The application is divided into two sections:

1. The “Cancer” section: it provides simple and basic explanations on the disease and the treatments. It is punctuated by interactive animations and a quiz to answer the child's possible questions.

2. The “Hospital” section: it shows the parent's care path and possible changes, through two mini-games and according to a progression in the different rooms of the hospital.

For more than 50 years, Roche has been a player in oncology and offers new therapeutic paths where medical needs are not met, with the aim of significantly improving the care and quality of life of people affected by cancer.
