SACCHIDANAND HIGH SCHOOL

Sacchidanand High School was established in 1987 at Thasra to provide quality and value-based education to the students in Thasra and surrounding villages. It is a Catholic institution run by Saccidanand Ashram, Thasra, Gujarat. The word "Sacchidanand" is a Sanskrit word Sat+Chit+Anand meaning Truth, Knowledge and Bliss. In India Catholics use this word as Indian equivalent to the word Trinity. In 1990 St. Xavier's Primary School was started. The primary aim of the institution is to impart value-based education to the children especially economically and socially backward sections of the society. The school caters to the needs of the students from 6th Standard to 10th standard and has more than 400 students. It has a well-qualified and committed staff. In the past Fr. Martinappa, Fr. Savari Nathan, Fr. Thangam Siluvai and Fr. Louis R. have served as principals. Fr. Justin Susai has been appointed as principal from December 2014. The school management has a plan to start lower primary and higher secondary sections soon.
