Gilt band stamped across cover and at spine, charming sun and moon decorative stamping also at spine. Text is clean, bright and unmarked w/ very mild age-toning to text block. There are several pages that have been dog-eared by the previous owner. An attractive, clean copy, VG-. This is a historical novel of Miles Standish from Europe to Massachusetts. The book starts in November of 1620 as the Pilgrims arrive at Plymouth Rock and ends with the Wedding ceremony of Miles Standish to his Cousin, Barbara Standish. The book talks continuously of the individuals who landed, their daily lives and in some cases, how they died. A Nice Historical Work! A Slow read as it is written in the Old English style dialect! Most Interesting!
