This is coming from a person who's never played an auto chess game until this game, so I'm not sure what makes a "good" auto chess game. It's interesting, but the fast pace along with the wonkiness of placing and removing characters often annoyed me. I was overwhelmed because of all the information that I seemed to have to memorize since the tutorial didn't really pop up to help me, and even after getting the gist of how to play the game, I wasn't sure if I was playing it right. You can challenge A.I. to better hone your skill, which is nice, but ordinary games tend to take so much time that playing while unplugged may seem like a bad idea. Luckily, when I started playing, a blitz mode for shorter games was in beta. Even then, it feels like winning is about 50% strategy and 50% getting lucky at good item drops or higher tier characters per round. Not my cup of tea, but at least the only things that you have to pay real money for are cosmetics.
