I can't get it to work... just loads and says a new version is available and tells me to update... gay

  That's really bad. Than nobody can play with this game version. I have also the PC version therefore I know that there is a new version. Unfortunatly the game don't update itself. It was only a note. So not gay, but silly reaction of your side!!!
