The Arabs call it tasbih beads with various names, including subhah, misbahah, tasaabih, nizaam. Meanwhile, Sufis call it al mudzakkirah billah (reminder to Allah), raabitatul qulub (heart binding), hablul washl or sauth asy syaithan (syaitan's whip).

To recite the recitation of the tasbih repeatedly, a tool called misbaha was invented, and in Indonesia itself, it is also called tasbih, sometimes shortened to tasbih only. Usually, the tasbih beads are made of wood, but there are also tasbih beads that are made from olive seeds. Generally, a prayer bead consists of 99 tasbih stones.
