Tunnel Rastatt

Virtual 3D model of the train tunnel in Rastatt

The app shows a passage through a virtual 3D model of the tunnel in Rastatt, which is currently being built by Deutsche Bahn. The Tunnel Rastatt is the largest of four nationwide pilot projects, in which the potential of the new digital working method Building Information Modeling (BIM) is tested. With BIM planning, flow and use of the tunnel are simulated in three dimensions. Stakeholders and disadvantaged people receive as early a realistic picture of the plans. The Tunnel Rastatt is a part of the planning determination section 1.2 of this major project Karlsruhe-Basel.
