How to Play Hoşkin?

CARD DISTRIBUTION

Cards are dealt counterclockwise. The dealer deals 25 cards to each player and places the remaining 5 cards in the middle of the table.

TENDER SELECTION

A tender is held to choose the trump card. Unlike Batak, cards in Hoshkin have points.

Before the game, an offer is made by predicting the hand that will be opened and the cards that will be received during the game.

If no bid is made at the end of the game, the player who made the bid receives negative points equal to their bid.

The player who says "pass" is out of the bidding.

At the end of the bidding, the 5 cards in the middle are revealed for everyone to see.

The player who makes his bid takes the cards in the middle and chooses trump cards.

He removes 5 cards from his hand.

The points of the cards he removes are added to that player.

OPENING THE CARDS

First of all, unlike Batak, each card has a certain number of points. These;

A: 11, 10: 10, K: 4, Q: 3, J: 2 points.

Certain card groups have a certain score. Each player reveals the cards he can group. In this way, they earn points before the game starts. Card groups are as follows;

Marriage: Coming together of K and Q cards of the same suit is called marriage. A non-trump marriage is worth 20 points, a trump marriage is worth 40 points.

Team: If the K and Q of all species come together, it is called a team. Gives 240 points.

Pinik: If you take Q and Diamond J in spade type, it is called pinik. It is 40 points. If there are 4 pins, the game is automatically won if the player's score is not negative and it is 3500 points.

Series: A-10-K-Q-J cards of trump suit are called series. It is 150 points.

Full Suit: If there are married members of the other suit besides the trump suit, it is called a full suit. This team gives you 350 points.

Aces: A's of any suit. Gives 100 points.

King: All kinds of K's. It gives 80 points.

Girls: All kinds of Q's. Earns 60 points.

Jacks: J status of any type. Earns 40 points.

PLAYING THE GAME

Gameplay is similar to the Batak game. However, there are certain differences as there are only A-10-K-Q-J cards in the game. The card order is A> 10> K> Q> J. So 10 gets K and gold. When the same cards are thrown, whoever threw them first gets the hand. For example, when 3 A's of the same suit are thrown in the middle, the first hand to throw is his.

END GAME

At the end of the game, the points of the cards received are added up. The player who takes the last trick gets 20 more points. If the player who receives the offer does not receive as many points as the offer, he/she receives negative points equal to the offer.
