It's a love story, as the title indicates, but I might also describe it as a relationship thriller. It's a tale of love and love unrequited, brotherly jealously, deception, revenge, family secrets, shame and honor, steadfast hope, despair, moral corruption, and redemption. What I find fascinating about the author is his ability to portray the inner workings and motivations of the human heart. The story is in fact a study of the antagonist who, little by little, is led to ruin by his own inordinate passions, but even to the last, redemption is poised on the horizon like the warm glow of a dawn not yet born.
