Leading Halal Inspection Agency (LPH) for domestic and foreign business actors.

The Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) has been mandated by Law no. 33 Years

2014 concerning Guarantee of Halal Products. BPJPH is one of the supporting elements in the Ministry of Religion

Republic of Indonesia which is under and responsible to the Minister of Religion in charge

carry out the implementation of halal product guarantees in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations

invitation.

The law mandates that products circulating in Indonesia are guaranteed

the halal product, therefore the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency has the duties and

function to guarantee the halalness of products circulating and marketed in the country.

In line with this, Hidayatullah through the Decree of National Conference V Hidayatullah, Number:

12/TAP/Munasv/2020 concerning the 2020-2025 Hidayatullah Strategic Policies in the field of

economy and finance, mandates to be a pioneer of halal food by educating the public more

paying attention to the halal food consumed every day.

Not just education, but Hidayatullah was directly involved in handling the halal food business so that

Muslim community can enjoy the blessings of Allah SWT. Therefore also, Hidayatullah too

has submitted an application for establishment as a halal guarantee institution to BPJPH in August 2019. pg

this also refers to Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Guarantee of Halal Products in Article 4

confirms that products that enter, circulate, and are traded in the territory of Indonesia are mandatory.

While Law no. 33 of 2014 Article 13 paragraph (2) mandates that in LPH

as referred to in paragraph (1) established by the community, LPH must be submitted by a religious institution

The Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency is also supported by the duties and functions as previously stated

mandated by Law No. 33 of 2014 namely concerning Halal Registration, Halal Certification,

Halal Verification, Conduct training and supervise product halalness, Collaborate with

all relevant stakeholders, as well as setting the halal standards for a product.
