The phlegmatic and lonely English gentleman Phileas Fogg will abandon his life of scrupulous discipline to fulfill a bet with his colleagues of the Reform Club, in which he will risk half of his fortune committing himself to go round the world in only eighty days using the available means in the second half of the nineteenth century and following the project published in the "Morning Chronicle", his diary of daily reading.
