EuCornea Vienna 2018

비엔나에서 열린 제 9 회 EuCornea 총회의 공식 앱.

On behalf of the Board and Officers of EuCornea, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to Vienna for the 9th EuCornea Congress.

Over the course of the next two days delegates will enjoy a choice of excellent sessions. The latest developments in Cornea and Ocular Surface Disease will be presented by leaders in the field, in the Eight Focus Sessions, five Instructional Courses and four Free Paper Sessions.

The EuCornea Medal lecture will be given during the Opening Ceremony on Friday at 14.00pm. This year, this esteemed lecture will be presented by Carlos Belmonte on the topic of ‘“Neural basis of eye surface sensation. From dryness to pain”.

EuCornea is delighted to be once again partnering its annual meeting with the 36th Congress of the ESCRS, the 18th EURETINA Congress and the WSPOS Sub-Specialty Day. As part of this collaboration, a combined EuCornea/ ESCRS Symposia will take place on Saturday on the topic of ‘Corneal Cross- Linking: Current Status and Future Perspectives’.

Finally I would like to thank all organisers and speakers for their invaluable role in creating such a high caliber scientific programme for the 9th Congress.

I am privileged to have been president of EuCornea for the past two years and would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for participating in my final EuCornea Congress as President. It has been rewarding to see the EuCornea Congress develop over the past few years. I look forward to seeing the society grow in the future
