The following is an explanation of the virtues of the Qur'an al-'Azhim, the virtues of reading and reading it more. The Qur'an is the word of Allah which Allah truly said and was truly heard by the Angel Gabriel.

Then Jibril took it from Allah's side and conveyed it to the Prophet Muhammad in the form of a revelation. Then the Prophet Muhammad conveyed it to his people and his people recited the Koran from generation to generation.

The Qur'an is guidance, light, a means of distinguishing between truth and falsehood, a hot light, a form of Allah's love for His servants, and a straight path. Allah guarantees that he will protect the Qur'an so that it cannot be possessed by people's tricks, misuse, replacement or alteration. The Qur'an is always what Allah sent down as guidance for creatures.
