Truly enjoy the stories and most of the writers give choice options at appropriate times and even the variety Nebula Finalist, which is also just one of the (approximately 23) tags that can be used as a search parameter that make sense. The writing for each of the stories that I have gone through is well done! A good number of the games are award winning!
My only complaints are that if a particular game is going to crash or lock up, it will always be at the same spot! Patches seem to eventually fix the problem. One place that is most likely to cause any game to lock up is after reviewing your statistics screen, when trying to return to where you've just stopped reading. If you tap the back arrow at the top left of the screen, you have just chosen to back out of the specific game you are currently playing/reading, which gives only one option... restart the game. Intuitively one would think of that as a back arrow to either; go back one choice, or to the previous screen (as in backing out of the statistics/achievements pages) or even to the beginning of the current chapter, not backing out of the game! There is no specific back/close/return button on those screens, at least none that are obvious on screen in any of the stories/games that I've either played or attempted to play. I've currently completed not a single story because of the game locking up at those pages consistently and I am rather tenacious/indomitable when it comes to the small problems. I always try to give the Devs the benefit of the doubt when it comes to this small type of problem! I do have a problem assuming that each new patch will be the fix and I also know that there are people that will whine and complain endlessly about things even less ******** than an issue such as this and, do not have the patience that I do for this type of problem so, with assuming I am always sure that game developers hear from those squeaky wheels long before I would ever complain, which takes me to my ratings it would be five *'s had this been patched at any time in the past year of my on and off playing of the games as overall I have enjoyed every story that I attempted to fully immerse myself within! Having restarted each and every one, no less than three times due to the locking up after checking statistics/achievements and never being able to reach the completion of one at least. This definitely gives credence to my opinion about the quality of the story writing! For at least the number of games that I've started and partially reread, being forced into doing so because of the game locking up at the aforementioned time! Yet I will still press the button eventually to check either the achievements or statistics, A glutton for punishment I guess
Don't let my review chase you away from an entertaining game, especially in these trying and overall boring times!!! There is a genre for everyone! Some even mix a variety of genres; if you include mystery/fantasy/medieval/action/romance/sorcery/blackmail/doublecross/murder for hire from an assassin's guild/and a banshee, for example all in one game, you end up with a bloodbath and story that cover quite a variety of genres all at one shot! I've not run into said example in any of my game choices, but it would have to be an awesome book if the layout, plot and writing were all done well! Should anyone take that example and run with it to the ends of a successful book, game, etc., all that I would ask in return is just a credit for the inspiration!
