Pips-Ahoy! derives its name from the dots on the dice, called pips. Pips-Ahoy! challenges players to complete each category while including as many matched pairs as possible.
A matched pair is two dice that match in value and color.
Players must think about the advantages and disadvantages of scoring a hand on a particular line. Pips-Ahoy!, with its multi-part scoring, encourages the use of mental math.
