Humsafar – meaning “companion” is an intelligent interface for assistance that will enable users to acquire instant information on road situation, weather condition and traffic volume as well as seek help in times of distress.

The application software is designed to aid travelers by timely notification of variable scenarios, fed into the system by App Monitors of NH&MP and displayed on the user dashboard through virtual bulletin boards. The range of messages covers blockades, closures, diversions, fog, blind spots, black spots and congestions. In consideration of road safety precautions, warnings are announced using voice mode, and thus save the driver from diverting his visual attention to screen.

When encountered with any inconvenience during travel, the application provides user the access to seek help. The choice of a relevant category from the menu forthwith transmits an alert to the control room which, in turn, dispatches a patrolling vehicle to the site of occurrence and also liaises with service providers to respond to the request.

Once help arrives at the designated spot and the needful is done, the ticket is closed by the user, thereby indicating that the issue has been resolved.
