Kim Jong-in or better known as Kai, is a South Korean singer, actor and dancer. He is a member of the South Korean-Chinese singer group EXO and its subgroup EXO-K.

Kai was born on January 14, 1994 in Suncheon, South Jeolla, South Korea. He started dancing when he was eight years old. Actually, he did jazz dance, but after watching the ballet dance performance The Nutcraker, he started practicing ballet dancing when he was in the third grade of elementary school. He stated that his parents actually wanted him to learn Taekwondo and piano.
