The official My Food Guide app helps you:

■ learn how many Food Guide Servings you need to eat from each of the four food groups;

■ see how much food is in one Food Guide Serving; and

■ create a personalized Guide that reflects your favourite types of foods from each food group and physical activities you enjoy.

The ‘family feature’ allows you to create customized My Food Guides for each member of your family! Creating a customized Guide takes less than five minutes. You can save and view on your mobile device anytime, anywhere.

My Food Guide also provides you easy access to healthy eating facts, tips and tools to help you eat well. Topics include:

■ how to build a healthy meal using the Eat Well Plate

■ easy-to-follow meal planning tips
