In Bihar statewide campaign against 'Child Marriage' and 'Dowry System' is proposed to be launched by the Hon'ble Chief Minister. We have to take oath against 'The Dowry system' and 'Child Marriage' . Dowry system refers to the durable goods, cash, and real or movable property that the bride's family gives to the bridegroom, his parents, or his relatives as a condition of the marriage. Child marriage in India, according to the Indian law, is a marriage where either the woman is below age 18 or the man is below age 21. Most child marriages involve underage women.
