PINE (Punjab Intelligence News Extractor) will be a personalised news aggregation

technology which will assist the users to define the keywords of interest for which a

particular user is interested in and based on which the news will be shown for those defined particular tags on a dedicated news panel.

PINE will consider the semantically similar keywords as well while performing news search. Apart from that PINE will transliterate and translate given English keywords in Punjabi and Hindi simultaneously and will also perform the search on all the predefined news portals in real time and populate it on the PINE publishing platform with the relevant news. All these news updates will happen in real time aggregated from different news sources predefined by Punjab police.
