Lifemap adalah alat interaktif untuk mengeksplorasi Tree of Life
Lifemap adalah alat untuk interaktif mengeksplorasi Tree of Life oleh zooming dan panning dengan cara yang mirip dengan peta geografis. Semua node dan tips dari pohon yang interaktif. Pada klik, deskripsi singkat dan gambar grup ditampilkan. Deskripsi ini diambil dari Wikipedia.
Lifemap juga memungkinkan komputasi dan memvisualisasikan "rute" antara dua spesies atau kelompok spesies, atau antara spesies dan akar Pohon Kehidupan.
Pohon yang ditampilkan berisi sekitar 800.000 spesies. Ini adalah versi sederhana dari taksonomi yang diusulkan oleh NCBI ((National Center for Biotechnology Information). Versi lain dari Pohon Kehidupan dapat dieksplorasi dengan Lifemap di http://lifemap.univ-lyon1.fr
