HomeBound+™ is Gryphon’s optional mobile VPN and network security service

HomeBound+™ is Gryphon’s optional mobile VPN and network security service, designed to extend your home’s parental controls and protections to mobile devices on the go. It securely routes mobile traffic—whether on cellular data or public Wi‑Fi—through a cloud-based virtual router, mirroring the same security, content filtering, and device management settings applied at home.

The service works alongside the Gryphon Home app. To get started, you must first install the Gryphon Home app on your network administrator’s device, then install HomeBound+™ on each mobile device you wish to monitor and manage.

Vpn Service:

- Uses the VPN Service API featured from Android 4.0. Some manufacturers seem to lack support for the VPN services, hence HomeBound+ App won't work on these types of devices.

- HomeBound+, uses the IKEv2 key exchange protocol and IPsec for data traffic

- Supports for changed connectivity and mobility through HOMEBOUND+ Server

- HomeBound+ App (VPN service) establishes the connection to the HomeBound+ server based on the pre-installed certificates and the pre-defined parameters

- HomeBound+ App does not collect or track any personal information from the client devices

- VPN allows limiting the Internet connection to specific apps and websites based on the parental control settings, or exclude them from using it

AccessibilityService API:

- The HomeBound app uses the "Accessibility service" to protect the app from uninstalling it on the client devices by the kids.

- Parent will be alerted with a real time notification when the kid tries to uninstall the HomeBound App.

- HomeBound App does not collect or track any personal information from the client devices.

Location Service API:

- The HomeBound+ app uses "Location Service" to track kids' devices.

- Parents can track their kids' location to ensure security and know where they are.

- The app does not collect, store, or track any personal or location data from the devices.
