Finch ( Fringílla coélebs ) is a songbird of family. The size of a sparrow the length of the body is about 14.5 cm. The wingspan is 24.5-28.5. The weight of the finch is 15-40 grams. Coloring plumage in the male is bright (especially in the spring): the head is bluish-gray the back is brownish with green the goiter and chest are brownish-red with large white patches on the wings. The coloration of the female is more dim. In the wild lives on average 2 years in captivity life expectancy is up to 12 years.

Finches from the regions of the Urals and Western Siberia hibernate in the south of Kazakhstan and in Central Asia mainly in populated areas and along tugai thickets along rivers and lakes.
