This initiative is a collaborative effort to improve the health of youth, families and under-resourced communities throughout Missouri. It is a grass roots movement, offering innovative strategies to combat childhood obesity. The goal is to stop chasing the effects of obesity and instead reverse it through educational programs that helps people optimize nutrition, fitness and lifestyle choices that result in healthier eating, weight management, and a more active lifestyle. It’s also about providing education on prenatal conditions to get new families off to a healthier start. Beginning in the “Show Me” state of Missouri, this project brings families, businesses, schools, faith-based organizations and community leaders together with the common goal of best health practices for all communities.
