The Planetarium Hamburg not only offers full-dome shows, concerts, lectures and exhibitions. There is also a lot to discover in the building itself - a former water tower with a unique view. The PLANETARIUM HAMBURG app guides you through our tower, level by level.

Discover Five Levels

Discover the five most important stations in our planetarium. The floors of the building are named after the celestial bodies of the solar system - from Earth (foyer) to Neptune (viewing platform). Interesting information about the house itself and its history, about the projection technology in the dome or an audio guide in German and English for the exhibition "Mensch, Kosmos! The stars within us".

Augmented Reality

The app tells you where you can find the AR objects. They are spread all over the tower. It's very simple: Click on the corresponding link in the app - scan the floor (every AR app needs it for spatial orientation) - when the square appears, scan the corresponding symbol. Now the object hovers over, next to, or in front of you. Discover planets, peak through our walls or take a picture of yourself with the Hubble Space Telescope.
