The SmartBEAM app allows you to watch Live TV and VOD content via satellite
The SmartBEAM application allows you to watch Live TV and On Demand content, broadcasted and pushed via satellite, using the Wifi of your Android device.
To use SmartBEAM services, the following requirements must be met:
1) reception of SmartBEAM services using a SmartBEAM compliant Set Top Box (STB)
2) SmartBEAM application installed on your Android device
3) wifi access-point connected to SmartBEAM compliant STB
4) as an option, a hard drive can be connected on the STB. It will allow to store video content for On Demand services. Without an external hard drive, the viewing of On Demand content is not available.
Note: the Android device uses the wifi access-point to communicate with the SmartBEAM compliant STB (the Android device and the STB must be on the same local network provided by the access point). The access point must work in DHCP mode to provide a local IP address to both the SmartBEAM compliant STB and the mobile device.
